Fashion favorites are returning to the runway for their second annual event.
The Colchester Community Workshops fashion show is taking place April 20, at the Holiday Inn in Truro.
Diane Standing is the administrative assistant for CCW, and she says the models are patiently waiting to show off their brand new outfits.
“The most enjoyment of it all is watching these guys step out of their comfort zones.”
Tickets are $25 and include a meal. There will be 50/50 tickets, door prizes, and music by DJ Special O.
A dozen CCW models will be modeling clothing donated to the New to You store, said Standing.
“They’ll be dressed in brands from Old Navy to Prada.”
All clothing and accessories used will be for sale at the store, after the event.
Claire Sangster is a model, and the fashion coordinator for the show. She’s picking out all the outfits.
“I love fashion,” Sangster said, and three of her fellow models agreed.
Wink Day Spa is providing models with makeovers and Scotiabank will be on site matching all donations made to CCW.
Proceeds from the event will go back to the organization, Standing said.
“It’s a fast way to raise funds for the community workshops.”
You can buy tickets at New to You, or the CCW offices. Call Diane at (902) 893-4799 for more information.
