BIBLE HILL, N.S. - Bible Hill Junior High parents met with staff yesterday to discuss the confusion behind the end of year semi-formal prom and graduation.
A newsletter sent home March 9 to students said “We will not be hosting a grade 9 semi-formal dance in June, nor a grade 9 graduation ceremony.”
The meeting on Monday was for parents and staff at BHJHS. Parents have confirmed the meeting was positive.
Until a final decision has been made parents have agreed not to comment on the matter.
Principal Dave Hazelton responded to questions from the Truro Daily News in an email, saying there would be a dance and the original letter was intended to remove the pressure from the name semi-formal, with regards to clothing.
Hazelton says he will be meeting with staff to further discuss the details of the end of year events.
Due to school closures today, this meeting is being rescheduled.
